Pirates hijack Danish family’s sailboat

The Somalian Pirates have struck again. Only two days after the Somalian Pirates had captured two Americans for the first time, now they have captured a Danish family. Most hostages the pirates have captured are professional sailors, not families. Pirates are not known to have captured children. On board was a Danish couple and three children from ages 12-16 and two adult crew members. The Danish Foreign Ministry said the ship sent a distress signal on Thursday. The boat was believed to be heading towards Somalia. Earlier Monday, the Somalian pirates hijacked another ship hijacking a Greek-owned cargo vessel with 23 crew on board.

I think that someone such as the US military or the Danish military have to start taking action in stopping these Somalian pirates, because they are really starting to take way to many lives. I think the Somalian Pirates are asking for someone to come and get them because they usually never hijack boats with kids on them. This really caught the public on surprise. Another thing is that people really need to be careful of were they go they shouldn't travel by boat in the Indian Ocean, they should try to avoid it as much as possible as there is a very big risk of travelling there.
