The Ontario Lottery Corporation has found a resolution to the disputed $50 million Lotto max jackpot from the Dec. 31 draw. Two groups who have claimed the prize from Bell Canada Scarborough have agreed to split it between all 30 of them. Only the original 19 will get their money today, while the other 11 will have to go to court to get their share of the $18 million left to claim. OLG said it will be up to the court to decide how much the additional claimants will be paid. The leader of the group of 19 Bell employees validated the one winning ticket on Jan. 3 after buying it in Scarborough. The OLG investigation concluded that 19 individuals were participants in the group and were entitled to some of the $50 million prize. This is the first time the jackpot has been won by a single ticket.
I think that OLG should have solved this a while ago. I do not know why it had taken them so long to come up with a decision to split it evenly. I think that this was the right idea to split it evenly it just shouldn't have taken them this long to do it. A
